McSweeny’s and Scary Canary

Wednesday night this week is the only day both Andrew and I have off since I will be starting work at I’m Angus on Thursday, so we decide to have a night out with our roommates for some drinks and food.  We start the night at Home Bar, on Darling Harbour.  Cheap beer and wine for happy hour and a nice patio overlooking the harbour, also a very busy club on Friday and Saturday nights.  We then head over to McSweeny’s on Clarence and Druitt St.to meet Natasha. From the outside, this place looks like a dive, but it has a great rooftop beer garden area as well as amazing Thai food, who knew! I recommend the cashew chicken.

After dinner and a few more drinks here, we head down the street to Scary Canary, who has a happy hour from 8-9pm.  The place is pretty dead, but it is Wednesday night after all.  Would be a cool place to checkout on the weekend.  It is a small venue with a seating area and a small dance floor, and good music. Great night out with the roommates; looking forward to going back to McSweeny’ for more Thai food!
