About Me
A Day in the Life in Whistler

Travel, adventure and the desire to always try something new – that is Girl Gone Gallivanting.  I’ve travelled to more than 30 countries around the world and I hope to keep adding to that list year after year.  Where did it all begin?

My first big step was moving across Canada after graduating university to beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. From there I landed my first career job at MIO Watch where I learned the ins and outs of being a marketing manager at a small company. After two amazing years, Andrew (my now husband) and I decided to take another leap of faith and keep moving west, all the way to Australia, on a working holiday visa.  From there travel took us to New Zealand, all over the land down under and finally across South East Asia before returning back to Canada.

To keep up with the adventure we moved to Whistler, B.C, home to North America’s largest ski resort, amazing hiking trails and world class mountain biking, where I was very lucky to land a job as the Public Relations Manager for the prestigious Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotel.

After another two years in the working world, we decided to take a very extended honeymoon to South and Central America for ten months. We’re back at it again, travelling the world and hopefully making this a more permanent part of our lives.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. I hope we can inspire other couples, singles and friends to test their limits and see the world.
